Bulgarian and Romanian accession statistics January – March 2008

Statistics released by the UK Home Office on 20 May 2008, revealed that the number of Bulgarians and Romanians applying to work in the UK had dropped to its lowest level since January 2007, when Bulgaria and Romania acceded to the EU, with only 8,205 applications in the first three months of 2008, compared to 10,420 in the same period in 2007.
