Article discusses the first few months of Jens Weidmann as Bundebank President in Germany. Despite formerly being the top economic adviser to Angela Merkel, Germany’s Chancellor, Mr Weidmann is taking an independent line in his new job more like former Presidents of the Bundesbank, in particular to concerns to how the EU and the ECB are dealing with the eurozone sovereign debt crisis.
