Calais migrants ‘willing to die’ to come to Britain, says French port’s mayor

The mayor of Calais Natacha Bouchart and colleagues spoke to the Home Affairs Committee of the House of Commons in London on the 28 October 2014. She told MPs that part of the problem was that the British government had done nothing to tell potential migrants that there was no ‘El Dorado’ for them in the UK.
