CBI says UK Parliament is failing to scrutinise Brussels lawmakers

The Confederation of British Industry has criticised UK MPs for failing to scrutinise European legislation, saying that business believes the UK parliament is "asleep on the job". Digby Jones, Director-General, called for a package of parliamentary reforms to increase national influence over the EU, which now makes more than half the laws affecting UK firms.
