Celebrating European cultural heritage in 2018

A European Commission proposal in August 2016 paving the way to the designation of 2018 as the European Year of Cultural Heritage was due to be voted in the European Parliament second plenary session in April 2017.

2018 would be dedicated to European cultural heritage and its role in the continent's shared history and values, following a recommendation from the European Parliament.
