Chair of the Management Board defends EFSA against an attack on its independence

In an open letter (dated 25 July 2005) to David O'Sullivan, Secretary General of the European Commission, Stuart Slorach, chair of the EFSA Management Board, challenged the proposed generic arrangements for EU Agencies concerning the circumstances in which an Executive Director could be reappointed.
