China lifts share of EU textile imports

According to European Union trade statistics, China's textiles exports to the EU in the first eight months of 2005 rose by 40%, but overall EU textile imports changed very little, meaning that the growth in China's market share has come at the expense of other Asian and African clothing exporters.
