Chirac moves fast to point out rich rewards of his tough bargaining

Following the European Council in Brussels, 17-18 June 2004, French President Jacques Chirac gave a rare television address on 19 June to extol the benefits of the newly agreed European Constitution, which he described as 'good for Europe and good for France'.
