EurActiv reported on the increasing success of coding classes in schools across the European Union.

Marianne Thyssen, the EU Commissioner in charge of Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility, stated that 'stepping up Europe's digital skills will be part of the EU-wide Skills Agenda' to be presented in 2016.
