Regional policy European Commissioner Danuta Hübner, European Investment Bank President Philippe Maystadt and the heads of the other financial institutions involved signed the memoranda of understanding in Brussels for three new joint cohesion policy initiatives on the 30 May 2006, for investment, growth and jobs in the Member States and regions. The three initiatives are JASPERS (Joint Assistance in Supporting Projects in European Regions), JEREMIE (Joint European Resources for Micro-to-Medium Enterprises) and JESSICA (Joint European Support for Sustainable Investment in City Areas). |
