Cold weather, new laws, harden EU refugee trail

EUObserver published on 1 October 2015 a feature describing how the migrant and refugee crisis evolved following the agreement by the Council of the European Union on 22 September to relocate thousands of refugees.

As Winter approached and several member states tightened their rules for asylum seekers, many refugees still arriving at an EU border found it even more difficult to succeed in their journey.
