This latest edition of the ECB contains all published current ECB legal instruments that were adopted from the establishment of the ECB, 1 June 1998, until the end of December 2001. The Compendium is intended to contribute to a better understanding of the legal background of Economic and Monetary Union by providing a complete and systematic overview of the normative activity of the ECB in a single volume, in addition to the publication of these legal instruments in the Official Journal of the European Communities. This publication can no longer be found on the European Central Bank website. However, the document is available from the website of Banco de Portugal. |
