Competitiveness Council meeting (Internal Market, Industry and Research), 25-26 May 2010

A meeting of the Competitiveness Council was held on 25-26 May 2010. The agenda included the following topics:

+ Political agreement on a draft regulation updating the conditions for the marketing of construction products in the internal market;

+ Adoption of conclusions on clean and energy efficient vehicles;

+ Adoption of conclusions on the future revision of the trade mark system in the European Union;

+ Exchange of views on the setting of national targets for investment in research and development;

+ Examination of the development of the European Research Area (ERA) and adoption of conclusions;

+ Adoption of conclusions on ways of creating an innovative Europe and on the simplification of research programmes.

+ Adoption of conclusions on the Review Conference of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
