It has long been recognised that the environment in which enterprises operate has a considerable bearing on their success. National business support agencies have accumulated vast experience of assisting enterprises to respond to the challenges they face. The European Union is in a unique position to help in the exploitation of this knowledge and experience. Through Concerted Actions, it encourages national actors to exchange good practice at the European level. The aim is to contribute to the success of European enterprises in the global economy.
