Conclusions on cross-border aspects in alcohol policy

The Council of the European Union adopted on 8 December 2017 a set of conclusions on cross-border aspects of the European Union's alcohol policy.

These conclusions focus on cross-border issues such as labelling, advertising through social media and the cross-border transport of alcoholic beverages. The Council highlighted with concern that Europe is still the heaviest-drinking region in the world, with the subsequent health consequences.
