Conclusions on promoting the intergenerational dimension in the youth field to foster dialogue and social cohesion

Set of the conclusions adopted by the Council of the European Union on 28 November 2022, concerning the promotion of the intergenerational dimension in the youth field.

The conclusions call on Member States, the European Commission and stakeholders in the youth sector to strengthen solidarity and cooperation between generations in order to contribute to the building of fair and sustainable societies. The text also invites Member States to raise awareness of intergenerational equity among policy-makers and to address age-based inequalities in youth policies.

The text was drafted within the framework of the European Year of Youth and one of its main goals relating to inclusive societies. These conclusions were adopted at a meeting of the Council of the European Union on 28 November 2022.
