On the 27 November 2008 the Council of Foreign Affairs gathered. The Council adopted the following conclusions: "The Council recalled the adoption in 2001 of the European Union Guidelines on human rights dialogues. It also Council welcomed the analysis of the current state of relations, as regards human rights, with Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico. The Council endorsed the initiation of human rights consultations with Argentina, Brazil and Colombia and the enhancement of human rights consultations with Mexico and Chile. The Council was pleased to be able to enhance its human rights dialogue with these States." |
