Council Conclusions on relations with the republic of Moldova. General Affairs Council meeting, Brussels, 18 February 2008

The Council notes the positive dynamics in EU-Republic of Moldova relations in 2007 and early 2008 as witnessed by the entry into force of the Visa Facilitation and Readmission Agreements on 1 January 2008, the opening of a Common Visa Application Centre in Chisinau in April 2007 and the initial contacts between the Commission and the Republic of Moldova with a view to exploring the possibilities for agreeing a pilot mobility partnership within the framework of the global approach to migration.
