Summary:

Council Decision (CFSP) 2020/907 - adopted by the Council of the European Union on 29 June 2020 - which amends Decision 2014/512/CFSP concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia’s actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine.

Further information:

Council Decision 2014/512/CFSP was adopted in July 2014 and introduced a number of sanctions in response to Russia's actions against Ukraine. These measures target the financial, energy and defence sectors, as well as the area of dual-use goods.

The present Decision extends those sanctions for a further six months, until 31 January 2021. It followed an assessment of the state of implementation of the Minsk agreements at the video conference of the European Council in June 2020. The political decision was therefore made to roll-over the economic sanctions against Russia.
