Decision (CFSP) 2022/1506 - formally adopted by the Council of the European Union on 9 September 2022 - aimed at supporting the development of information technology tools to improve the dissemination of information on sanctions introduced by the European Union (EU).

Restrictive measures adopted by the Council of the European Union on the basis of Article 29 TEU and Article 215 TFEU are seen as an essential tool for the EU's foreign policy action. The dissemination of, and easy access to, information on sanctions in force in the EU as well as information exchange between the Member States, stakeholders and the European Commission are an relevant condition of their efficacy.

This Decision aims to support the development of applications and databases necessary to provide information on sanctions in force in the EU and to ensure easy access to such information, and the development of information technology tools to allow secure information exchanges between the EU countries, stakeholders and the Commission. It was adopted by the Council of the European Union on 9 September 2022 and published in the Official Journal on 12 September 2022.
