Summary:Regulation (EU) 2024/1034 - adopted by the Council of the European Union on 4 April 2024 - introducing amendments to Regulation (EU) 2020/1998 concerning restrictive measures against serious human rights violations and abuses. Further information:The Council of the European Union adopted Council Decision (CFSP) 2020/1999 in 2020 establishing a sanctions regime against serious human rights violations and abuses, also known as the European Magnitsky Act. Council Regulation (EU) 2020/1998 implemented the Decision. This Act implements the amendments introduced by Decision (CFSP) 2024/1025 adopted by the Council on the 4 April 2024. It was published in the Official Journal on 5 April 2024. |
