Following the acts of terrorism which took place in London in July 2005, the UK Government decided to carry out a survey of anti-terrorism measures in a number of countries from Western Europe, North America and Australasia. This paper sets out some of the key elements of these countries' legislation and practice and describes the situation in mid-2005. The countries surveyed include: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the USA. |
