Publishers Abstract:
Analyses, with reference to case law, the scope and nature of the cultural mainstreaming requirements imposed on the European Union by the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union art.167. Reviews the meaning of such mainstreaming, the link between EU law and culture, the level of attention paid to art.167 by EU institutions, and the extent to which it receives horizontal recognition. Considers how the cultural mainstreaming provisions are likely to develop in future.
