Danish PM seeks backing for euro referendum

Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the Danish Prime Minister, sought political support on the 4 November 2008 for a referendum on adopting the European single currency, after Denmark's Central Bank revealed that it has used almost a fifth of its reserves in October 2008 to defend the krone’s peg to the euro.
