Summary:

The European Commission presented on 23 April 2018 a proposal mobilising €9.8 million from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to help former workers of Air France find new jobs.

The European Parliament and the Council of the European Union adopted a Decision authorising the mobilisation on 4 July 2018.

Further information:

On 23 October 2017, France submitted an application for a financial contribution from the EGF, following redundancies at Air France. Following its assessment of this application, the Commission concluded that the conditions for awarding a financial contribution from the EGF were met.
