Decision (EU) 2018/6 on the mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund following an application from Greece

On 13 April 2017, Greece submitted application EGF/2017/003 GR/Attica retail for a financial contribution from the EGF, following redundancies in the retail sector in the region of Attica and in 10 other regions in Greece.

Following its assessment of this application, the Commission concluded that the conditions for awarding a financial contribution were met, and on 23 October 2017 adopted a proposal for a Decision to mobilise the EGF to provide the amount of €2,949,150.

The European Parliament and the Council approved the proposal on 12 December 2017.
