Decision (EU) 2018/893 on the position to be adopted within the EEA Joint Committee concerning the amendment of Annex XI and Protocol 37 to the EEA Agreement

Summary:

On 2 May 2018 the European Commission published a proposal on the position to be adopted on behalf of the Union in the EEA Joint Committee, concerning a proposed amendment to Annex XI (Electronic communication, audiovisual services and information society) and Protocol 37 (containing the list provided for in Article 101) to the EEA Agreement, in order to incorporate Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation).

The Council of the European Union adopted a Decision on 18 June 2018.
