Decision (EU) 2018/953 on the position to be adopted within the EEA Joint Committee concerning the amendment of Protocol 30 to the EEA Agreement

Summary:

On 24 May 2018 the European Commission published a proposal for a Decision on the position to be adopted on behalf of the Union concerning an amendment to Protocol 30 to the EEA agreement, on specific provisions on the organization of cooperation in the field of statistics.

The Council of the European Union adopted a Decision on 26 June 2018.

The EEA Joint Committee proposes to amend Protocol 30 to the EEA Agreement to ensure continuous cooperation with the EEA EFTA States (Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) in the context of the European statistical programme 2013-17, which has been extended to 2020.
