Decision (EU) 2019/1181 on guidelines for the employment policies of the Member States

Summary:

Council Decision of 8 July 2019 setting out common priorities and targets for the national employment policies of the Member States.

Further information:

This Decision was proposed by the European Commission on 27 February 2019 in the context of the winter package of the annual European Semester cycle. While the validity of the broad economic policy is not limited to any specific period, the employment guidelines (EGLs) need to be drawn up each year. These guidelines provide the legal basis for country-specific recommendations (CSRs).

The proposed Decision was adopted at the 8 July meeting of the Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council.
