Delay to CBI euro survey knocks hopes for campaign

The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) has decided not to survey its members' views on the euro, or campaign for British membership of the euro, until euro notes and coins have been introduced and been in circulation for some months. The new currency will be introduced in January 2002.
