Diplomats win time over Iran nuclear crisis

The US and Europe have given diplomats crucial breathing space to try to resolve a growing crisis over Iran's nuclear ambitions, asking 11 August 2005 for a report from United Nations inspectors in three weeks. At a meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency, its board of governors approved a European Union resolution that demanded Iran halt the sensitive atomic work it restarted earlier in August.
