The consultation contains details of how the UK Department for Transport and related Agences (the Driving Standards Agency and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) intend to implement the requirements of the Third Driving Licence Directive (2006/126/EC) into national law. The proposals are divided into 4 sections covering (a) Changes affecting training and testing for riders of mopeds and motorcycles, (b) Changes affecting training and testing for drivers of cars and light vans, (c) Changes affecting Driving Examiners and (d) Changes affecting driving licence administration.
