Dutch euroscepticism moves mainstream [the Netherlands and the European elections 2014]

Feature looks at the situation in the Netherlands as regards the campaign for the elections to the European Parliament held in May 2014.

Despite calls by the European Commission for those countries voting on the 22 May 2014 (Netherlands and the United Kingdom) not to start counting the results until after the last EU Member State had completed voting on the 25 May 2014, a number of organisations in the Netherlands made predictions made on exit polls and observation of counting the results.
