EADS, Europe's leading aerospace group, was forced to admit 17 October 2007 that it was facing embarrassing delays of up to 12 months in making the first deliveries of its A400M military transport aircraft under development by Airbus. The A400M is the second big development programme at loss-making Airbus to run into problems after the A380 superjumbo, where early deliveries are running up to two years behind schedule. The first A380 was delivered to Singapore Airlines on the 15 October 2007. |
