ECB renews market-calming measures

Report of ECB Governing Council decisions on interest rates, November 2007. The European Central Bank announced fresh measures to calm financial markets as the countervailing pressures of a soaring euro and rising inflation left its main interest rate firmly on hold at 4 per cent.
