Economic portrait of the European Union 2002. Data up to 2001

This publication is designed to set out in a single volume wide-ranging macroeconomic data on the European Union and its Member States and to provide an analysis of those data. The focus is put on economic structures, their temporal development and structural differences between Member States. After analysing the economy as a whole, dedicated chapters deal with enterprises, households and general government. While the data provided allow country-specific analysis, the central aim is to draw a profile of the Union and the euro-zone, comparing them, where possible, with their main trading partners.
