Economic recovery to a greener economy: mobilising ICT-based innovations

The Swedish Presidency has a unique opportunity to set the agenda for realising the EU’s ambitions of “smarter, greener and more sustainable growth”, argues this Policy Brief by Peter Johnston. It highlights the potential of ICT-based innovations to help meet this challenge and calls on the Presidency to focus on ensuring a successful transition to a smart-green economy by integrating policies for economic recovery, the knowledge society, energy and climate security into a single framework.
