Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Council, 4-5 April 2022

A meeting of the Education, Youth, Culture and Sports (EYCS) Council was held on 4-5 April 2022. The agenda included the following items:

• Discussion on the European response to the war in Ukraine in the areas of culture and media;
• Adoption of conclusions on reinforcing intercultural exchanges;
• Adoption of conclusions on building a European strategy for the cultural and creative industries ecosystem;
• Adoption of conclusions on sport and physical activity;
• Adoption of proposed Decision establishing a new Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA) programme for Moldova;
• Update on the preparedness of EU education systems to respond to crises;
• Adoption of proposed Recommendation for more effective European higher education cooperation;
• Adoption of conclusions on a European strategy empowering higher education institutions for the future of Europe;
• Adoption of conclusions on enhancing teachers' and trainers' mobility;
• Adoption a proposed Recommendation on the mobility of young volunteers across the European Union;
• Adoption of conclusions on fostering engagement among young people as actors of change in environment protection.
