Reflects on the June 2014 conclusions of the European Council, and the extent to which they address UK concerns over matters such as Jean-Claude Juncker's nomination as Commission President, and the EU's future development. Discusses the structural problems of EU treaties, the issues raised by Juncker's nomination, and how the Council conclusions approach the EU's future, including whether they demonstrate a responsiveness to citizens' concerns.
