Eight messages for the G8 and EU

The Local Government Association, the Local Government International Bureau, the Council of European Municipalities and Regions, Energie-Cités and ICLEI (Local Government for Sustainability) have drawn up eight messages for the G8 and EU, outlined in this publication. It asks the G8 countries, presided over by the UK Government in 2005, to provide adequate resources and appropriate frameworks for local government all over the world to tackle the problems of climate change.
