The European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) cooperates with the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD) under a Memorandum of Understanding it signed in 1999 with CICAD's parent body, the Organisation of American States (OAS). In this context, the EMCDDA Director and scientific coordinator visited CICAD in Washington on 17 June 2008. A joint project, due for completion in 2009 is the EMCDDA-CICAD handbook on the establishment of national drug observatories and drug information networks. |
