The (UK) Engineering Employers' Federation has decided to support the Chancellor, Gordon Brown, if he decides that the economic decisions are not yet right for the UK to enter the single currency. The Federation also believes membership of the single currency should be ruled out for up to five years to avoid continued uncertainty. Mr Brown is due to announce his decision in June 2003.
