ERC at the Davos summit: Placing science in ‘the New Global Context’

A panel including leading scientists and political leaders addressed at the WEF on te 24 January 2015 the importance of investing in ground-breaking, high-risk/high-gain research to keep Europe on the map and building tomorrow’s science-driven economy; how this type of 'blue sky' science can generate breakthroughs and innovation; and the need to back young top talent.

Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Prof. Jean-Pierre Bourguignon, ERC President and Prof. Sir Christopher Pissarides, Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences, ERC grantee.
