EU announces over €35 million in humanitarian and development assistance to Venezuela

Summary:

The European Commission adopted on 7 June 2018 a package of €35.1 million in emergencu aid and medium-term development assistance to support the Venezuelan people and the neighbouring countries affected by the deteriorating socio-economic situation in Venezuela.

Further information:

The humanitarian assistance aims to cover health, food and nutrition, water and protection against violence to the benefit of those displaced by the crisis. Some support would also be provided to those communities affected by migration and increasing social tension.
