EU cereals output in 1995 will total just over 174 million tonnes, according to Coceral, the EU’s grain trade lobby

This compares with its last forecast in July of over 177 million tonnes, but is still well above last year's harvest of just below 171 million tonnes. This forecast coincides with Commission figures estimating that grain stocks at the end of September had fallen to 5.5 million tonnes, compared to more than 14 million tonnes at the same time last year.
