Statistics are taken from a range of sources including Eurostat, international organisations, national statistics, studies and, where no data was available, own estimates. Most of the tables include data up to 2005. In some cases, more recent data is given. Note that only the latest edition of this pocketbook is accessible from the website of DG Energy and Transport.
