EU envisages soft touch Energy Union

Media sources accessed a set of internal documents of the European Commission in July 2015 which gave away more details of what was being discussed regarding the Energy Union governance.

According to these documents, the EC was considering putting in place monitoring and reporting instruments, but no strict top-down measures to police the proposed new rules.
