EU envoy to promote Kosovo talks

The EU's foreign policy chief, Javier Solana visited Kosovo and Serbia, February 2007 to urge both parties to discuss a UN plan giving self-rule to the breakaway province. He was joined by the German foreign minister (as the EU Presidency country) and the EU Enlargement Commissioner in Serbia.

The European Union told Serbia it faced great opportunities but also great responsibilities.
