EU funding allocations: LIFE-Environment

The Commission has decided to co-fund 152 new projects under the LIFE-Environment programme for the year 1999. The total financial contribution from the Commission for these projects is EUR 65m. The total investment cost of all the projects represent around EUR 206m. The priority areas for LIFE-Environment in 1999 are industry (59 projects), local authorities (84 projects) and preparatory actions (9 projects).
