Abdullah Ocalan, who was seized by Turkish authorities this week after leaving the Greek embassy in Nairobi, Kenya. German Interior Minister Otto Schily said international observers should be allowed to attend the PKK leader's trial. Kurds have occupied more than 20 Greek embassies and consular offices across Europe in protest at Athens' role in Ocalan's capture, and three were shot dead by security guards at the Israeli consulate in Berlin as protestors broke into the building.
